01.10 The most successful Soundscapes set of the tour so far; that is, for fruit & vegetables. Hopefully, John went out with a basket.

The opening notes of the set were a squealing siren-like malfunction. While John was scrabbling about on the floor, re-vibrating & re-booting the crash-landed Lunar Module, I approached the front of the stage and spoke a few words in elementary French. In the audience, Bill & Carolyn Janssen in Europe for an anniversary holiday, Sister & her friend Nancy who flew in to base a holiday around G3, and Toyah with two of our pals, Richard & John, from London.

At points the whistling, clapping (of the slow variety) & shouts of encouragement (play something is one of the forms this frequently takes) were so loud that, onstage, they became part of the Soundscape: something like an additional frequency range provided by a second Soundscaper. Very exciting.

A good opening act sets up the audience to welcome the next act. In this function, tonight, I succeeded admirably.

My guests enjoyed the Soundscapes tremendously & came backstage to let me know how much they enjoyed the set --

The Satch Bus has a long drive to San Sebastien and T is staying behind with Richard & John.
